At first glance

At first glance

these pictures may seem

to be just more pics

of the kids enjoying their new swing set.

But look again.
They are wearing SHORTS!
Yesterday was so "hot", they needed a popsicle to cool down.

It was 78 for a high yesterday and the record for Jan 19th is 81. So for this time of year, it was quite warm. The kids and I loved it though. The swing set is getting lots of use.

Belly

This was taken last Friday (33 weeks, 1 day). Still huge. And all out in front. Less than 6 weeks to go...

Take a guess

I set up an online baby pool. Go here to take a guess at gender, weight, length and day/time born. Good luck!

That's how many days we have until Pineapple makes his/her appearance!

The c-section is set for Feb 25th at 7:30 am.

Woohoo!

Our weekend

Our weekend was spent building the kids' new swing set we got them for Christmas. Doug's parents and mine spent all weekend over here helping too. It took forever, but the end result is worth it. The kids love it and so do we.

These pics show the progress over the two days. Notice the difference in temps on Sat vs Sun based on the clothing differences.

All finished!
The slide is super quick. I love G's expression in this pic.

And B went so quickly, he's blurry.

Swinging!

Thanks to Grandpa, Grandpa, Grammy and Grandma for all their help.

2009 Books in review

My goal for this year was to read 75 books. I only read 62. But I'm confident if we hadn't moved and I hadn't been miserable through the first trimester I would have met my goal. I'll try for 75 again for 2010 and hope I make it this time.

Some of my favorites from this year were:
An Inconvenient Wife - Megan Chance
Change of Heart - Jodi Picoult
The Glass Castle - Jeanette Walls
Innocent Traitor - Alison Weir
The Knitting Circle - Ann Hood
Magic Hour - Kristin Hannah
The Memory Keeper's Daughter - Kim Edwards
Midwives - Chris Bohjavian
PS, I Love You - Cecelia Ahern

I also read the entire Harry Potter series again. I'm trying to limit myself to reading them once a year, but we'll see if I'm successful with that this year now that I own the series. ;)
