He was very excited!
His school names each class after an animal. Last year he was a Bumblebee, this year he is a Lion.
He went straight for the loft area. When we went to Meet The Teacher on Tuesday he loved this section of the room, so I wasn't surprised he headed straight for it. That is also a friend Maddie from the Bumblebee class last year. There are only four of them in this class that were in the same class last year.
He was so excited and not anxious at all. He ran into the room without even giving me my goodbye hug. I had to follow him in to get some first day pics and steal a hug.
Next year, he'll be in Kindergarten at the same school as Gracie.

it's a bittersweet moment, when your child is confident enough to enter the next stage of life with barely a look back at you, isn't it?
