Sat morning, we loaded up and headed out. There were elk everywhere on our way to Johnston's Creek. These two posed for a long time and as you can see, we were very close to them.
There was a small group at the side of the road and Doug stopped so I could get this shot.
The lower falls at Johnston's creek. It was very different this time compared to last month. There was a lot more water coming out this time. Those who crawled through the cave for a closer look got wet.
After a picnic lunch, we went to Moraine Lake. This was only our second time to go. The road is closed until late May, so it hasn't been opened any other time we've been up there. It's so gorgeous.
Bradley fell asleep on the drive from Moraine Lake to Lake Louise, so Doug stayed in the car with him. Gracie decided she didn't want to go either, so my parents and I headed up there. My parents saw Lake Louise last year, but it was frozen. I was glad the weather was nice for them to see how beautiful it can be.
Testing how cold the water is...
