The first day. The kids gave them no time to relax before putting them to work and abusing them.
Playing Hullabaloo.
Bradley was cuddling with them both, but he was ready to get down by the time I got this picture.
Grandpa got abused the first night doing leg lifts with the kiddos...
Friday (July 4th): Doug was actually off from work (a surprise)!
(He deserved it after working until 8:30 the night before.)
The kids tried out their new 3-D chalk from Grandpa & Grandma.
Doug was photographer this day and he has decided the blog isn't artistic enough, so he took several artsy photos.
We walked to the park and let the kids play for a bit. The weather was gorgeous.
Grandma pushing Gracie on the swing.
Gracie going across the monkey bars.
One of Doug's shots of G.
That afternoon, Doug and his dad ran to the store and the kids were playing in the neighbor's yard.
Here is Bradley playing with Jannah, the 13 year old neighbor who we plan to have babysit one of these days.
They set up one of those big blow-up waterslides and all the neighborhood kids were taking turns going down it. Gracie had a blast!
Saturday: We took Doug's parents downtown so they could see it.
We ate a picnic lunch in the gardens and then let the kids play for a bit before doing some walking around.
After that we did a lot of walking around downtown.
Bradley rode the train for the first time. He loved it!
Gracie was such a good big sister to ride in the green car with Bradley even though she really wanted to ride on the blue car.
Watching this baby nurse made me so glad I'm not a goat. My babies were never as violent when they were hungry. It was painful to watch. None of us were surprised when the mama walked away from baby. Seriously... it was not the beautiful experience that breastfeeding was for me. Poor Mama goat.
That night, we played pinochle and Doug and I had the weirdest hands ever.
Unfortunately for me, hearts was named trump. :(
We also started a puzzle on Tuesday evening and we're still working on it. It is 1000 pieces and we have all been working on it and it's only half done.
Today we went to the park before lunch. It was 11C (about 52F)!
On Saturday, we're heading up to Banff for the weekend. I'll try to get pics up here shortly after that.

What great pictures! Love them all - looks like a lot of fun, esp. the zoo pics! Nice artistic shots of the flowers - Doug will have to get a photography award for that one :-)
Looks like you have been busy and having a blast while you are at it!!
Love the photos, Doug's artsy ones are great, especially the one of Gracie.
