Greetings from Edmonton...

We're here. Yesterday was an adventure. We made it to Edmonton in plenty of time and ate lunch and then went searching for the office where Doug would be. He had googled it and we were following the directions, but couldn't find it. It turns out he typed in 67th St instead of 67th Avenue, so we were not in the right place at all. One key map later and we were at the right spot. Then I had four hours to kill with the kids and we couldn't get into the hotel yet. We spent over an hour at Zellers (a store like Target) and then went to a McDonalds with a play place to kill two more hours. I think the kids had an okay time, but it was nice to finally get checked into the hotel and have a place to call our own for the next couple days.

Today Doug is working all day and night, so the kids and I are on our own. The weather is gross (rainy, in the 50's), so we've spent all morning playing in the hotel. We'll venture out this afternoon for a bit and then probably come back here for a dip in the pool. Hopefully tomorrow's weather is a bit better as we plan to do as much as we can before heading back home in the evening.

Glad you decided to go! Hope you guys have fun and the weather gets better. Sometimes just being away from the same ol' same ol' is good for everyone! And then it's really nice to get home afterward!
